Watching really fast skiers is a great way for kids to get excited about the sport.
Tomorrow’s field includes some top college skiers and even a world junior championship medalist!
If you want to come spectate, here are some tips:
- Saturday’s sprint has a morning qualifying round at 10; then starting at 12:30 the top qualifiers go head to head 6 at a time through 3 rounds with the top 2 in each heat advancing. The heats will be very fast and fun to watch.
- Sunday is a classic distance race with skiers going out at intervals. The racing gets started at 10.
One other thing to watch for… we have 6 CMSC high school racers competing. Be sure to cheer extra loud when you see the CMSC suits go by!
